About Us

Who We Are

Our Real Options Abortion Recovery (ROAR) Team is made up predominately of women who have personally walked the path of post-abortion healing. Most of us have experienced the pain of abortion—and the hope of restoration. We are here not as therapists or judges, but as compassionate advocates who understand the journey firsthand.

We offer a safe, confidential space where women can begin or continue their healing, no matter how long ago the abortion occurred, how many they’ve experienced, or where they are on their journey. Whether you’re feeling sadness, anger, guilt, numbness, or just unsure of what you feel—we’re here to listen and walk with you toward freedom.

What Makes Us Unique

  • Lived Experience – Most of our team members have personally experienced post-abortion healing, and every one of them has been carefully chosen for their deep compassion and unwavering passion to see women walk in freedom.
  • We have group options with or without a faith focus— whatever feels most comfortable for you, because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.
  • Confidential & Caring – We protect your privacy and honor your story.
  • Flexible Support – We offer weekend retreats, one-on-one conversations, and 10-week small groups.

Healing is possible. You don’t have to carry this alone.

Leaders have been trained to facilitate the Forgiven and Set Free Bible Study. The Bible study and abortion recovery group are not intended as a substitute for professional counseling. Referrals will be made for professional counseling upon request or when deemed appropriate by the leader(s) of the abortion recovery group. We offer information, counsel, and support. Participation in the group is free.

Each monthly session focuses on a specific topic related to post-abortion healing and includes time for reflection, encouragement, and optional sharing. You can join the conversation or simply listen—there’s no pressure. These groups are 90 minutes long, with a meal included, and no commitment required.

That’s completely okay. We offer one-on-one support if you prefer to talk privately with someone who has been through a similar experience. Just reach out—we're here to listen.

Forgiven and Set Free is a Bible study designed to help women walk through post-abortion healing from a Christian perspective. We offer this study as a 10-week group or a weekend retreat. Topics include forgiveness, grief, anger, and overcoming shame.

Absolutely. We take your privacy seriously. All conversations and group participation are kept strictly confidential.

No. ROAR is a peer-led support ministry, not a professional counseling service. However, we can refer you to a trusted professional counselor if desired or if a need arises.
